Truss Genius recently partnered with a military and defense contractor to create one of the most advanced AR/VR/XR training spaces to date. This project required a comprehensive approach, moving beyond product delivery to full-scale project management and technical expertise. 

Our collaboration began with a review of the building’s blueprints, led by our project management team in partnership with the engineers from Entertainment Engineering Consultants. Together, we developed a custom design and render that would accommodate the client’s vision while adhering to strict weight limits set by the engineers. Initially, the client had considered using pipes for the structure, but after consultation, aluminum truss was chosen as the ideal solution due to its lightweight, modular nature, impressive weight-bearing capacity, and long-lasting aesthetic appeal. 

To bring the design to life, we collaborated with Entertainment Rigging Services (ERS), a leader in the field whose owner is one of the industry’s most respected standard authors. Their involvement was crucial in ensuring that the installation met the highest standards of safety and precision, seamlessly integrating cameras, lighting, and sensors onto the truss grids. This precise coordination was vital to meeting the project’s technical specifications and delivering a space ready for high-tech training simulations. 

From sourcing specialized rigging to coordinating equipment rentals, we managed every phase of the installation. This project highlights Truss Genius’s expertise in handling complex installations, leveraging engineering accuracy, technical proficiency, and a trusted network of industry leaders to deliver exceptional results.
