EVT290S Circular Truss Knowledge Center
EVT290S-C500 16.40-Foot Truss Circle.
For Large Exhibit Environments, Scenic Architecture, and Production Systems.
The EVT290S-C500 is a 5.0 m / 16.40 ft circular aluminum truss assembly built from eight matching 45-degree arc sections. The completed circle has a 4.42 m / 14.50 ft inside opening and provides a large circular perimeter for specified exhibit, scenic, studio, lighting, video, and technical installations. The eight sections may also be specified individually within compatible engineered curved truss structures.
Product Facts
Product Overview
Eight 45-Degree Arcs Form a 5-Meter Circular Truss Assembly.
The EVT290S-C500 uses eight matching 45-degree arc sections to form one complete 5.0 m / 16.40 ft circle. The eight-section construction creates a broad 4.42 m / 14.50 ft internal opening for larger exhibit, scenic, production, and technical requirements. Individual 45-degree sections may also be specified in compatible EVT290S or F34-format 290 mm square-truss structures where the complete curved construction has been mechanically verified, supported, and approved for its intended use.
Common Applications
Define Larger Exhibit, Scenic, and Production Environments.
The C500 is intended for projects where a 16.40 ft circular truss perimeter can establish a substantial overhead identity or surround a larger programmed area. Its eight-section curve is suited to exhibit islands, presentation theatres, scenic architecture, studio systems, production environments, and technical installations. Use the complete approved truss system to determine supports, attachment methods, hardware, fixture locations, cable management, load distribution, and engineering requirements.
Who It Is For
For Teams Planning Large Circular or Curved Structures.
The C500 is suited to exhibit builders, corporate-event producers, scenic and staging teams, studio operators, technical integrators, production companies, rental inventories, and other professionals working with compatible 290 mm square truss. It is selected when a large 5.0 m circle, or the flexibility of 45-degree curved sections, matches the project geometry, clearances, supports, transport plan, and engineering review.
Included Connection Hardware
Eight Hardware Sets for the Complete 5-Meter Circle.
The EVT290S-C500 includes eight connecting-hardware sets for assembly of the eight matching 45-degree arc sections. Together, the included hardware provides thirty-two conical couplers, sixty-four tapered pins, and sixty-four R-clips for the complete circle. Confirm the current product package and all required hardware before assembly.
Inspect and secure every active chord connection at every joint before lifting or loading the completed circle. The ring is not fully assembled until all required couplers, pins, and R-clips are installed and retained.

System Compatibility
EVT290S, F34, and Matching 290 mm Square Conical Systems.
The EVT290S-C500 uses 290 mm square truss geometry, 50 mm main chords, and a conical connection system. Combining it with other components requires matching receiver spacing, coupler dimensions, chord geometry, component orientation, and applicable engineering data. A nominal mechanical fit does not establish structural compatibility or equivalent capacity. Individual 45-degree arc use changes the structural system and must be evaluated for its actual supports, attachments, and loading condition.
Before combining brands or systems, verify connector dimensions, receiver spacing, chord geometry, applicable manufacturer documentation, and engineering suitability for the completed installation.
Assembly Overview
Build the Circle on a Flat Surface, Then Lift Using an Engineered Plan.
Lay out all eight 45-degree sections in their final circular orientation before installing the conical hardware. The completed assembly weighs 224 lb / 101.6 kg and includes eight separate joints that require verification. Use trained personnel, adequate clear floor space, and appropriate handling methods. When an arc is used individually, follow the approved assembly and support plan for the complete curved structure.
Safety and Engineering
Capacity Depends on The Complete Engineered System.
The EVT290S-C500 does not establish a stand-alone allowable load. Structural performance depends on the completed circular configuration or individual-arc structure, support points, suspension method, orientation, load locations, fixture positions, connection condition, bracing, dynamic and lateral forces, environmental conditions, and the engineering data for the complete installed system. Do not apply straight-truss span capacities directly to the 5.0 m circular assembly or to an individual arc.
Product Questions
EVT290S-C500 Questions.
Does the EVT290S-C500 include a complete circle?
The C500 package includes eight matching 45-degree arc sections. Join all eight sections to form a complete 5.0 m / 16.40 ft circular truss assembly, or specify individual arcs in a compatible EVT290S or F34-format 290 mm square-truss system where the complete curved structure has been mechanically verified, supported, and approved for its intended loading condition.
What are the completed circle dimensions and weight?
The completed circle has a 5.0 m / 16.40 ft outer diameter, an approximately 4.42 m / 14.50 ft inside diameter, and a documented complete weight of approximately 224 lb / 101.6 kg.
What hardware is included?
The C500 includes eight hardware sets, providing thirty-two conical couplers, sixty-four tapered pins, and sixty-four R-clips for assembly of the complete circle.
Can the C500 be suspended or loaded?
The planned support or suspension arrangement must be evaluated for the complete 5.0 m circle, its approved truss system, actual support points, and all applied loads. Use qualified rigging and engineering review for overhead or load-bearing configurations.
